Invitation to Connect, 2021, The Found:re Contemporary
With concepts of connection and disconnection- Can we connect in silence? How do we better connect during pandemic times, during any times? Which barriers are necessary and un-necessary?
In this interactive performance the viewer is invited to connect; to become a part of the art. With the plexiglass in between as a barrier, a connection is made once the participant and artist’s palms meet.
The divider, or barrier, is a life-sized accordion book containing transparent pages (plexiglass) in which connections are documented and archived.
